Guild Wars 2: Circuit ArenaNet Convention

June marks the official start of summer, this time of year when the young player's heart back to the conventions! In that spirit, let's walk through what we have planned for Guild Wars 2 and the circuit of the convention.

E3 - First, let's get one of the questions most people. We will not be at E3. We really have feelings on the E3. On the one hand can be a great centrally to meet the press and retailers. On the other hand, is anti-fan, for example, the type of marketing, if I spend a boatload of money on a stand, videos, accessories, etc. I want to be able to share with the people who will, most fans ! IMO, E3 could steal a page from gamescom, which is a combination of a civilized business / industry area and a colorful showroom is open to consumers. If you did that, the E3 would be a piece of cake for my book.

San Diego Comic-Con (July 22-25) - This is not traditionally a big show for us, but this year our brothers in City of Heroes have been kind enough to share their booth with us. We will be celebrating the launch of our first novel, The Ghosts of Ascalon, giving away copies of the book signed by author Matt Forbeck and Jeff Grubb. In addition, we will have your favorite artists Anderson, Kekai Kotaki, and Kristen Perry available to sign for fans of Art Guild Wars 2 and just to chat about art. The Community Manager Regina Buenaobra and I will also be on hand to meet fans - or just chat about comics!

Gamescom (19-22 August) - This is the great friends! I am happy to announce that we will release the first demo playable in Guild Wars 2 gamescom in Cologne, Germany! If you want to be first in your guild to play GW2 (and you're in Europe), this is the program to attend. Naturally, we have tons of ArenaNet staff, including studio head, Mike O'Brien and the German Community Manager, Martin Kerstein, plus many fun activities. But let's face it, we know it's all about the game. We'll have more details on the demo GW2 in the near future.

PAX Prime (3-5 September) - PAX is probably our favorite show because it is in our city of Seattle and we love Penny Arcade. As some of you astutely pointed out, ArenaNet is ever on this show with all his strength, so expect to meet your favorite artists, designers and people in the community - first hand - in the demonstration booth Guild Wars 2. If you've ever attended PAX before, you know we always have plenty to do - well, in fact, that we will need a separate post to follow go into more detail.
