Move PlayStation embraces the magic with Sorcery

The Japanese company Sony enters the world of magic with "Sorcery", a video game for PlayStation Move that invites to know the adventures of a young and talented magician.

"We developed it with all the resources we had at our disposal, which are many. I think the result is visible," he said in a presentation to media producer senior Zach Wood.

Move the new title is developed "in a world epic based on Irish mythology and fairy tales", but Wood said that "as you move into the plot, the game creates its own path, posing different challenges and challenging the player with new spells and missions. "

Fire, electricity and wind are some of the powers that the apprentice wizard should use in their fight against the Queen of Nightmares, which has broken the pact with the elderly and there to leave the land in complete darkness.

"There are a total of 68 spells, which in turn can be combined together to achieve an impressive battery of different spells," said the head of this game will be released in the first quarter of 2011.

To carry out its mission, the novice magician will be able to transform into a rat, a point which will allow you to dodge enemies or transit through difficult places.

The magician's wand in reality corresponds to the wireless controller Move, to be shaken to cause tornadoes, walls of air or glowing balls of fire with those fighting the enemy of good.

"The gameplay is simple and intuitive: if you want to generate a tornado, just do wrist turns with the controller. 'Sorcery' is designed so that attacks can be launched in any direction, height and angle," explained Wood Gamescom 2010 International Fair in Cologne (Germany).

The aim is to "have all the knowledge necessary to beat the Queen", explains this creative game that many have been understandable similarities to the series "Harry Potter."

Solving puzzles, rescuing children or collecting the wisdom of the elders are other goals to achieve in the new PlayStation title Move, a device that will hit stores on 15 September.

The latest toy designed by Sony has had a great reception at the Gamescom, as Friday was given the award for "Best Hardware" of the convention ahead of its main competitor, Kinecta motion controller for Xbox 360.
